Those links should be self-explanatory, and very fascinating. Although I suspect that they might prevent me from enjoying fiction and movies in the same way. It's sort of like how, once I took an introductory sound design class last summer, I can never watch a movie or a TV show without thinking about overdubbing, sound libraries, and sync. My life is ruined forever!
(Then again, I think this also falls under my general creative maxim of: "I'd like to know the rules precisely so I can break them." Or, as Mark Twain said: "Get the facts first. You can distort them later." I'm sure I've quoted that at some point on this blog.)
