#18 - More homework-y images.

reileenApparently Blood and Chocolate is being made into a movie. And said movie has totally raped the novel up the ass with ten spiked dildos.

Mission: To create ten concept sketches of whatever we felt inspired to sketch (environments, characters, props, buildings, etc.) based on a theme we were assigned in class, and then post the images to our group blog along with what we used as a reference for each sketch.
Our class was split into four groups. We were given our own blog account (yes, in this class, we do work on blogs...it's a really interesting experiment) and a theme. My group was assigned the Bauhaus architectural movement, a movement that originated in Germany and got off on lots of geometric designs and cool chairs and wanking about how the urge to decorate surfaces was primitive.
So, without further ado, here's what I came up with!
I like this one. Yay for weird architecture.
Desert scene thing. Nowhere near as cool as the first one. :(
I can't decide whether I think this is a really cool outfit design or something totally horrendous.
Also really like this one, although admittedly the sketch kinda sucks.
Is this architecturally possible and sound? Because I would love to use this one in a story.
I was running out of ideas.I clearly phail as a concept artist.
HAHA. Totally random. This is pretty cute.
I have no sense of perspective.In either art or life.
Or a warp gate.
Again, running out of ideas, but since this was the last sketch I needed to do, hurrah!

*And it's a damn shame. I don't usually go for werewolf stories, but I actually liked Blood and Chocolate. I first read it back in my junior high days, then re-read it as "research" for the werewolf character I was writing for my NaNoWriMo 2006 project. Admittedly, I was WTF over some 24-year-old guy lusting after a 16-year-old girl, no matter how cool I thought she was, but overall, it's a great little read.
