Plus, although it may not seem like it makes much of a difference, but the mixing was borked on Death Magnetic, so it just has this drone, ear-hurting noise (Lars' idea, apparently - he also mixed the bass out of ... And Justice For All, dumped solos from St. Anger, and sued Napster >_> silly Lars).
