#241 - For great justice!
Oct. 30th, 2008 06:55 pmNot only did I get my official NaNoWriMo shirt in the mail today, but I voted early too!

(Picture was flipped and brightened in Photoshop to compensate for having to take pictures in a mirror. Not that you can make out much at this size and quality.)
While waiting for my name to be called at the polling place, I began reading The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott, and then finished it once I got home. I found it to be on the boring side, unfortunately, and I have to wonder if it had to do with the quality of writing or the fact that it seemed to be geared for younger readers. Or maybe it's just me, who knows.
I haven't been able to sit down and read fiction lately, despite the fact that I have a stack of books from the library on the floor waiting patiently to be read. It's not that I no longer enjoy reading (perish the thought!), it's just that it seems my mindset has been kind of...off...lately.
